How IRONIC! Maybe someday Brian will address the ills of the Christian speaking/publishing industry….nope! that would be “meddling” in his own purse now wouldn’t it?!!!
I can’t make a case for using “worship” and “art” interchangeably as he does in this video. Very pretty video though - extremely well done. I’m already stealing some of the video effects work in it
I’ve successfully led worship for about 27 years and also played my electric guitar in worship bands for about half that period, yet in recent years I’ve become increasingly uncomfortable about worship as a commodity, a brand to copy or a prescription to go through.
I agree that the Marketing of God makes Him seem less real.
Though I think the logistics and practical things (such as good sound mixing, projection, practices) are important and necessary ..I find keeping it simple seems to work.
On reflection maybe the “modern generation” has never had the chance to encounter simplicity sans hype and branding.
